Staggertooth router bits have two cutting edges that spaced 180 degrees apart which are each half the length of the total flute length. Spacing half of the cutting blade 180 degrees apart still gives you a completed finish cut but provides improved chip clearance and cutting speed and works great for cutting dense, man-made materials and panels. The opposite-shear bits has a down-shear edge and an up-shear edge. This bit is great for double-sided melamine, plywood and laminates. It also works well on solid-surface materials. Item codes SE1201 thru 1203-212 are staggertooth bits while items SE1252 thru SE1270 are opposite shear bits.
