Big Horn 70157 'B' Latch & Strike Template Kit.1-1/8" x 2-1/4" Latch Template & 1-1/8" x 2-3/4" 'T' Strike & Dead Bolt Template - Replaces Templaco LS-171B. Use this two template kit with your router to produce the finish mortise on both the door and the jamb. The strike (jamb) template will produce two mortises, the 1-1/8” x 2-3/4” 'T' strike with the red plastic block-off plate removed and the 1-1/8” x 2-3/4” deadbolt strike with the red plastic insert block-off plate installed. The latch template will produce a finish mortise of 1-1/8” x 2-1/4” on the door edge. Each template has two nail assemblies to attach the templates to the jamb and door. Template set is supplied with two red plastic Center Locators used to position the templates on the door and jamb in the proper position.

Using a double bearing setup with this template will increase the contact area on the template and reduce the chance for template flex. No need to remove the door stop when using this template. Template is designed to place the back edge of the strike plate as close as 3/16" from the door stop or it can be adjusted to a wider setting using the built in stops on the underside of the template.
